Ivanhoe Park Brewing Co. Tupac ShaPorter wins Gold

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ORLANDO, Fla. (March 3, 2019) – Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company, an independent craft brewery and tasting room in Orlando, Fla. entered Tupac ShaPorter, a Baltic porter, into the Best Florida Beer competition and received a gold medal on Sunday at the Brewer’s Ball that wraps up the Florida Brewer’s Guild fest in Tampa, Fla.

The Best Florida Beer competition is the state’s most competitive and overall attended event for all breweries in the state. There were over 800 entries into the competition, with only gold, silver, and bronze placings in each category. Some exciting news is Ivanhoe Park Brewing is looking to can this gold medal winning beer in the coming months, in 4-pack 16 oz cans, as they will be taking it to SAVOR in May in Washington, D.C.

Located in Ivanhoe Village, one of Orlando’s Main Street districts, the brewery has been soft opened since late June of last year, with their grand opening in mid-October. Taking home a gold medal is a great indication of what is to come and can be a good gauge of what can happen at the Great American Beer Festival, which is a competition at the national level, coming up in October in Denver, Co.
