FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ORLANDO, Fla. (October 9, 2020) – Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company, an independent craft brewery and tasting room in Orlando, Fla. will be releasing Return to Joyland Triple IPA and working with City Beverages Distribution to get it into the market the same day.

Return to Joyland is their homage to Joyland, the amusement waterpark located on Lake Ivanhoe from 1910-1919.  The original name was Ivanhoe Park or Russell’s Point, but in a contest within the community, it was renamed Joyland in 1915.

Located in Ivanhoe Village, one of Orlando’s Main Street districts, the brewery has been open since October 2018 and are excited to celebrate their 2nd Anniversary.  During the week long celebration, they released 5 new beers, including Return to Joyland Triple IPA.  This was brewed with Sabro, Nelson, Citra, and Simcoe hops and comes in at 10.5% ABV.  Ivanhoe Park Brewing Co. wanted to ensure this one was enjoyed as fresh as possible, so started early in the morning to get it through distribution to ensure retailers could have it on their shelves the same day.

Given that Florida is a three-tiered state, it’s not as simple as just taking the beer from the brewery to the retailer for fun releases like this.  After it was canned, Ivanhoe Park Brewing Co. had to start their day extra early to deliver the beer to City Beverage’s distribution warehouse, where their staff have to check it in properly into their inventory before loading it into their van to take into the market.  This has not been accomplished before in the state of Florida with such short time between canning and getting it on the shelves in the market.  This will be the freshest Triple IPA the consumers of Central Florida will ever be able to experience.  We will be doing this release annually to celebrate our anniversary in October.

About Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company:

Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company is an independent craft brewery that celebrates the pioneering spirit of early 20th century Lake Ivanhoe founder, George Russell. Ivanhoe Park previously served as home to beautifully lined orange groves and a pineapple farm, and was later named Joyland, an amusement and recreational park. Connecting Orlando’s illustrious past to our brewery’s commitment to community, education and the use of quality ingredients, Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company seeks to make craft beer accessible and approachable.
