    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ORLANDO, Fla. (June 27, 2022) – Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company, an independent craft brewery and tasting room in Orlando, Fla. was honored to pour their beers at SAVOR: Craft Beer and Food Experience at The Wharf, as well as in the Library of Congress and a tap takeover at Lost and Found DC!

“We have been looking forward to this week of events all year,” CEO and Founder, Glenn Closson mentioned.  “SAVOR has been canceled since the last event in 2019, which we poured at, so it was great to be back and also add some other events as well.”

The other events hosted with Ivanhoe Park Brewing Co. beer present were a reception at the Library of Congress, where all of the Representatives and their staff were invited to socialize and discuss current issues.  This was after the Hill Climb, where the Brewers Association scheduled meetings throughout the day with each brewery’s Representatives.  IPBCo was also able to host a tap takeover at local Craft Beer Bar Lost & Found DC, which was a great time with local Craft Beer drinkers and was a great way for us to tell our story to the local community.

SAVOR: An American Craft Beer and Food Experience is held in Washington, DC every year and hosted by the Brewers Association.  “Discover the intersection of American craft beer and culinary delight. SAVOR marries flavor-forward, independent craft beer with sublime small bites to create an unforgettable experience for beer lovers and foodies alike.”

Located in Ivanhoe Village, one of Orlando’s Main Street districts, the brewery has been open since Summer 2018 and entered distribution later that year in Central Florida with City Beverages.  That distribution partnership has grown and allowed Ivanhoe Park Brewing Co. to work with newly added Bernie Little Distributors to expand their market reach.  They are looking to add a few more distributors soon, as they expand statewide in the Florida market.

“It is definitely bittersweet news to announce,” CEO and Founder, Glenn Closson mentioned.  “We wish the best to Amanda on her new endeavors and are excited to see what Eric does while at the helm in the brewery.  We know he is ready to take it on and has been for a while.”

Amanda came from Red Cypress brewing and took on the head brewer role back in August 2019 and has been brewing some award-winning beer alongside Eric, who was at the lead brewer role.  Eric is no stranger to leading a team and is excited for the opportunity to take charge in the brewery.  Jonathan will be stepping up to fill that role and we have some great staff that will be assisting where needed to keep things moving forward smoothly.

Ivanhoe Park Brewing Co. takes home bronze for their Half-Toberfest Vienna Lager at World Beer Cup

     FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ORLANDO, Fla. (May 5, 2022) – Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company, an independent craft brewery and tasting room in Orlando, Fla. won bronze for their Half-Toberfest Vienna Lager at the Brewers Association World Beer Cup in Minneapolis, MN.

“Ivanhoe Park Brewing Co. is excited to add another award to their current list of award-winning beers,” CEO and Founder, Glenn Closson mentioned.  “Our brew team has been brewing some amazing beers and has proven it over the past few years with medals at US Beer Championship Open and Florida Best Beer, but to take home an award at the World Beer Cup is definitely an amazing accomplishment.”

World Beer Cup is named as “The Most Prestigious Beer Competition in the World”, with 2022 having over 10,542 beers entered by 2,493 breweries from 57 countries.  The Vienna-Style Lager had 113 entries this year, with Ivanhoe Park Brewing Co. taking bronze for their Half-Toberfest Vienna Lager.  Half-Toberfest was born in March 2020, right as COVID had shutdown the brewery.  It was meant to be an on-site party in the taproom to celebrate halfway to Oktoberfest.  They were able to still host it virtually by selling the Half-Toberfest to go in 4-pack 16 oz cans and did a German style cheers through social media for everyone to join in.  In 2021, they had a great attendance with German music, food, and games to celebrate in person in the taproom.  Each year has seen huge success and has been a lot of fun.  Now that we can claim it as one of the world’s best beers, we look forward to our next year’s festivities!

Located in Ivanhoe Village, one of Orlando’s Main Street districts, the brewery has been open since Summer 2018 and entered distribution later that year in Central Florida with City Beverages.  That distribution partnership has grown and allowed Ivanhoe Park Brewing Co. to work with Wayne Densch, Inc and newly added Bernie Little Distributors to expand their market reach.  They are looking to add a few more distributors soon, as they expand statewide in the Florida market.

  7. Central Florida Market Opening Up to Local Craft Beer

Central Florida is well known for its amusement parks and entertainment.  Epcot, SeaWorld, Amway Center are all places we love to visit and each year they are getting better are resourcing locally made products.  SeaWorld has been well connected with the local craft beer and we see that grow every year with their Seven Seas Festival, Craft Beer Festival, and other holiday events that incorporate local craft breweries.  We have been honored to have an Ivanhoe Park Brewing Co. booth for most of those events and hosted a special craft dinner pairing this year for their Craft Beer Festival.  Epcot added us this year for Flower and Garden with our Hibiscus Guavacation and then kept us going with Food and Wine, selecting 3 of our beers to be in draft for their largest and longest event of the year.  We were excited to keep active with their Festival of the Holidays and are looking forward to the Festival of the Arts early next year.  With our partnership with the Orlando Solar Bears and collaborating on Bear Beer Florida Lager, Amway Center recently went through changes that included our Park Hopp’r Pilsner on draft and Bear Beer available in cans at various concession stands.  Another addition this year was Publix Supermarket, picking up Joyland IPA, Park Hopp’r Pilsner, and Tupac ShaPorter.  We had been doing well in Fresh Market locations throughout Central Florida and hope to continue as we add more grocery stores.  As always, we love our locally owned small restaurants and bars that have carried our product from the beginning and hope to maintain those relationships as well.  We are just happy to see that a lot of these other places are giving local breweries a chance to reach a broader market, so we can keep growing and innovating to help the local economy as everyone else is.
